With the help of the NMDR rehab team, she has made some progress, but she remains very frightened and shy around people. With other dogs, though, Sherbet is friendly and easygoing, and another confident dog will be a necessity in her forever home. Children are too noisy and rambunctious for Sherbet, so she must have a calm, all-adult home. Although she already knows how to walk on a leash, and loves to go for walks, Sherbet also loves to run and explore and will need a very secure yard with a high board fence, since Huskies can jump and also climb. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet.
